Fox News is a United States pay television news channel owned by the Fox Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of 21st Century Fox founded in  October 7, 1996. Fox News has a well developed page. The sections and the information are easy to find. For each article there is a video that makes the article more fun to read/watch. Besides, at the bottom of each report, there are links to other articles related to the topic being discussed. The news report I read about talked about the caravan coming from Central America to the US through the border and how Mexicans see this negatively. The caravan has been forming since months ago and their main purpose is to cross the Mexican-American border. A poll showed that more than half of the population of Mexico encourages the American authorities to block the borders for the caravan to cross. The poll also showed that around 70% of the Mexican population disapproves the fact that people formed in caravans want to cross the Mexican-American border ...

The New York Post is a daily newspaper in New York City founded in  1801. This newspaper page has a format with different sections well distributed. However, my first impression of this page was if I was reading a page coming from a comic movie. I could not take the format of the page serious. The fact that it includes a section called Page Six to talk about celebrities gave the page a less credible image. The news report I read about was the phenomenon El Niño forming by February. It is known to be one of the biggest natural disasters that occur along the Equator. It affects several countries especially those along the Pacific Ocean. The main effects of this natural disaster are flooding, temperature raise and destruction of crops. Although El Niño impacts negatively and occurs every few years, it was prognosticated to be weaker this February than it was in 2015-2016. This news report had an informative sense for those not only living in the main affected areas, but to t...

NBC News is the news division of the American broadcast television network NBC, formerly known as the National Broadcasting Company when it was founded on radio in  February 21, 1940. When I looked through the webpage, it was well developed. The news reports were easy to find. It was well divided by sections for any person's interests . It updates every hour with a lot of information and videos to make it more dynamic to read/watch. The news report I found was about the GM (General Motors) crisis. This mega company was found to be in crisis due to the poor demand in their biggest production, sedans. It seems to have given an unexpected turn for the car market. Most of their factories were destined to produce sedans, but now they have to start with other types of car production such as SUV's or trucks. Also, the news source talks about the intervention of President Trump. He promised to give economic support to the company when he was a candidate for the presidency. But now, he ...

November 12, 2018 https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/llama-antibodies-may-be-key-flu-prevention-180970704/ In August of 1846, the Smithsonian Institution was established by the United States government “for the increase and diffusion of knowledge.” It is a group of museums and research centers and is named after British scientist James Smithson. The institution includes nine research centers, nineteen museums and a zoo and has coined the title of “the nation’s attic” due to the 154 million items that it holds. The Smithsonian receives 30 million visitors annually that receive admission free of charge. This specific article speaks of an innovative idea for the flu vaccine. Normally with this vaccine, people are injected with a dead strain of the virus so that their immune system can create the antibodies needed for the real thing. This becomes hard sometimes, however, because the influenza virus evolves quickly, and it is a rather aggressive approach for people who might ...
