This horrible tragedy started just after 2:30 p.m. when the Gwinnett County Dispatch Center received a phone call to 911 stating there was a car parked around Crumps Landing Road and White Road, just behind Shiloh Middle School. The caller believed the people inside were smoking marijuana.Two officers pulled up to the suspicious vehicle and parked their cars. Moments after the officers stepped out, a series of shots were fired at them through the glass of the suspicious car. Officer Toney was hit. Police said the bullet missed his vest and struck him directly. He was rushed to Gwinnett County Medical Center in Lawrenceville where he died. The second officer started returning fire at the suspects and was able to pull the officer that was hit to safety, the second officer was not hit. After that the suspectst took off in their car and ended up wrecking it about a mile down the road the cop at the time was not chasing after them witness say that 4 people jumped out of the car and took of running. That is when the massive man hunt was underway. Special units were then called in the k-9 unit along with swat they were able to capture one of the 4 men and are still looking for the rest. This just go to show how there is not gun control in america and how criminals are taking things into there own hands and things are turning out bad cops are getting shot along with innocent victims. When it comes to shooting at cops that is a bad idea all around there is no telling what was going through is name at the time that he fired at the officers. Officers put there lives on the line everyday and this like this happen to cops almost everyday to it is just such a sad horrible thing to hear about. You would think people would have more respect for the law all they are doing is there jobs and the officers in this case probably had no idea that this event was going to turn out the way that it did. They were probably thinning it was just a bunch of teenagers being teenagers and smoking weed in a parking lot. Then it turns out to be the end of one of the officers lives and another officer will be badly hurt mentally because he had to witness this terrible murder. Hopefully the rest of the criminals will be caught and just will be served and the victims family can try and get a little peace knowing that the people that killed there loved one is behind bars not still running the streets.

The article I choose was posted by NBC news which is directed by Noah Oppenheim. On the NBC news website their claim to their audience is that they intend to satisfy all audiences. Although, I believe that while reading their article they have a drive towards supporting environmental awareness. The tone in the article felt as if they were almost agreeing with the lawyers and other people behind the movement of wanting cigarette butts banned. In the article "Plastic Straw ban?
