Assesment: The article I found is from Times. Times is an American weekly news magazine. Although they are known for their news magainze, their news websites are very popular as well. They were published in New York City. Henry Luce orginally founded Times in 1923. Times is the world's largest circulation for a weekly news magazine.

Summary: The article I choosed is about a dozens injured in a party after the floor collaspes in South Carolina. Most of you has probably seen the video of the huge party going on and the middle of the floor just collaspes. About 30 people were taken to the hospital. The private party was taken placed at a clubhouse in Clemson, South Carolina. Clemson City Police said no one was trapped and none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening. Police said the event was a private party by a group that had leased the clubhouse at the Woodlands Apartments.

 Analysis: It seems the article didnt have any objective of persuading the audience anything. The authors purpose was just to inform the audience about the situation. The author included quotes that was said from the police and students to validify the information. The author also included the reaction of the people that witnessed the collaspe and what they did after.

Opinion: I actually found this article pretty hilarious. The video seems to be trending, because of how funny it was to the views. although some people got hurt, people got a kick out of it. It's a unqiue video, because it's not something you see at any ordinary party. Especially, since they caught it on camera was the funny part. The author even explain how some of the people who didnt fall down pulled out their cameras and started recording. I thought it was very interesting how the situation could be very terrifiying for the people involes in the accident and how it was amusing to the people that either witness it or saw it through video.

The article I choose was posted by NBC news which is directed by Noah Oppenheim. On the NBC news website their claim to their audience is that they intend to satisfy all audiences. Although, I believe that while reading their article they have a drive towards supporting environmental awareness. The tone in the article felt as if they were almost agreeing with the lawyers and other people behind the movement of wanting cigarette butts banned. In the article "Plastic Straw ban? Cigarette butts are the single greatest source of ocean trash" there is a great amount of information supporting the facts behind cigarettes being the greatest source of trash in the ocean.
