Analysis
The article seemed as if it wanted grab the audience emotion. The article presented a photo of the victim and try to get the audience feel sad, sorrow, and guilt. Also the article showed a photo of the collision of the victims car and trying to get the audience furious. They article used words like "Young Teen" and explaining how the the teenage star was driving a sports car. They article did accomplish its goal, because multiple arrogant comments were made about McSkillet. Opinion
In my opinion, we cannot assuming anything about the incident. We do not know what caused McSkillet to drive as fast as he did. We cannot assume he was an immature teenager who was just famous. The article also quoted "his father called police to report his son had sped off in the McLaren after hitting a family car in the process, according to the station", which was a reasoning to why he was driving in dangerous speeds. He then crashed into an elementary school. Obviously, it wasn't just an immature teenager we were dealing with. McSkillet was hurt by something and just lost his mind. What he did was wrong and he could've handled it better than he did, but we assume this action was out of his normal mentality.
