The Washington Times is a right wing based newspaper company based in Washington D.C. This means they are more conservative compared to the New York Times. The Washington Times is one of the most famous newspaper companies in the United States because it is based in the capitol. The NFL season kicked off this week and it wasn't without controversy. 2 Miami Dolphins wide receivers kneeled during the national anthem. Collin Kaepernick, the former quarterback who started the kneeling wave, showed his support for the Dolphins players in a tweet. Kaepernick was also in headlines this week after Nike released an ad featuring Kaepernick. Due to how controversial Kaepernick is it caused Nike stocks to plummet from 92$ to 87$ which cost the famous sportswear company over 5 billion dollars. The article was very well written and the author did a very good job of hiding his hidden biases. Even though this is one of the most controversial topics in America the author just reported the facts. The article was very informative and had lots of details. In my opinion, I do not like seeing the players kneel. However I do believe the players are doing what they think is right and trying to help their communities. I just wish they chose another way to protest
