Assessment of the source- NBC has been found to show little bias in their reporting, and if there is, it is a left-leaning bias. NBC is the oldest broadcasting network in the United States. Founded in 19126 as a 4-hour news station. NBC started as a child of three major corporations at the time: Radio Corporation of America, American Telephone and Telegraph Corporation (AT&T), and Westinghouse Electric Corporation.

Summary of the Article- This article describes the efforts of Elon Musk, Tesla CEO and businessman, and his company: The Boring Company, to build underground tunnels around the country to provide rapid transportation throughout major cities in America. This article talks about one of Musk's latest tweets saying, "first tunnel almost done." The tunnel in question is in Los Angeles California, and according to Musk and the article the tunnel will be finished by December, and provide 155 mile per hour transportation throughout the city, albeit not immediately.

Analysis of the Article- The article does a good job of describing the history of Musk's Boring Company, their future plans, and their current achievements. It provides examples of direct quotes from Musk, and does a good job explaining just what exactly his plans are regarding his high hopes for what his tunnel system could bring to the future of transportation in America.

Opinion- Overall, I think this article does a very good job at factually explaining what the Boring Company could bring to the future of transportation in America. The article does a good job of integrating direct quotes from Musk, the CEO of The Boring Company, and his history of over-promising things faster than they should be expected.

The article I choose was posted by NBC news which is directed by Noah Oppenheim. On the NBC news website their claim to their audience is that they intend to satisfy all audiences. Although, I believe that while reading their article they have a drive towards supporting environmental awareness. The tone in the article felt as if they were almost agreeing with the lawyers and other people behind the movement of wanting cigarette butts banned. In the article "Plastic Straw ban? Cigarette butts are the single greatest source of ocean trash" there is a great amount of information supporting the facts behind cigarettes being the greatest source of trash in the ocean.
