They have earned a reptation as the leading provider of service news and information that improves the quality of life of its reader by focusing on health, personal finance, education, travel, cars, news and opinion. U.S. News and World Report is located om Washington D.C. The company is privately owned by Mortimer B Zuckerman, but was founded in 1933 by David Lawerence.

Summary: In this article it explains the argumemt of pushing the legal age of purchasing tobacco from 21 years old to 18 years old nationwide. On Monday, San Antonio, Texas, became the first city in the Lone Star state and 341st locality in the U.S. to enact a Tobacco 21 ordinance, 13 years after Needham, Massachusetts, became the first town to increase its minimum smoking age in 2005. The main purpose of the enforcement is to effectively limit the nicotine inititions. The opponents to the act are small businesses, local tax revenues, and young adults. They believe this will hurt them fincancially. The article explains studies showned from the 2015 study from the Institiues of Medicine that increasing the tobacco product to 21 nationwide it would approximately result in 249,000 fewer premature deaths, 45,000 fewer deaths from lung cancer, and 4.2 million fewer years of life lost. As of 2017, more than 3.6 million middle and high school students were current tobacco users. E-cigarettes have been the most commonly used tobacco product among both groups since 2014.

Analysis: The article was creater by Katelyn Newman. Katelyn tries to inform the audience the situation that is going on. She is not really siding on any side. she just tries to inform the audience so they will have a better understanding. Katelyn does a great job at it. To back it up, she uses pictures so the audience will be emotionally attatched to the article. Katelyn also uses information and studies from the Institutes of Medicine to have valid information. She also explains the reason from both sides of the party and their reasoning towards their opinion. It seems like through out the article she mainly tries to use statistics to verify the argument. 

Opinion: In my opinion, I agree with pushing the legal age to 21. altgough it won't completly stop underage tobacco use, it will defineitly lower it. The use of tobacco can have many dangerous hazarous that can lead up to death. Tobacco use can also cause addiction. Although small businesses will be losing business, they should think about our future. Tobacco use could lead towars cancer, which everyone knows is a serious issue now and days. Accoring to the Institues of Medicine, it seems like their estimate would be a great improvement in our society.

The article I choose was posted by NBC news which is directed by Noah Oppenheim. On the NBC news website their claim to their audience is that they intend to satisfy all audiences. Although, I believe that while reading their article they have a drive towards supporting environmental awareness. The tone in the article felt as if they were almost agreeing with the lawyers and other people behind the movement of wanting cigarette butts banned. In the article "Plastic Straw ban?
