ABC (American Broadcast Company) News is left leaning news source. During the 2008 election, they even donated a total of $1,020,816 to the Democratic Party. It is owned by the Disney Media Networks division of The Walt Disney Company. The key people of the American Broadcast Company are Ben Sherwood, James Goldston, George Stephanopoulos, and David Muir. Its headquarters are located in New York City but serves worldwide. ABC News was founded on June 15, 1945.

On October 8, 2018, a seven year old boy named Quinton Hill had been in the hospital for a total of two weeks. He was  diagnosed with acute flaccid myelitis, also known as AFM, a rare and serious condition that typically strikes children and affects the nervous system resulting in muscle and nerve weakness. AFM has been reported to six other children recently as well and the Health Department even says that it can be a complication following a viral infection, but environmental and genetic factors may also contribute to its development.

Ayanna Gill, Abby Grossberg, and Enjoli Francis, reporters of ABC News, have written about the rare case of AFM that has occurred to six children in Minnesota, They use logos by keeping track of numbered reports and where they have been reported at with AFM diagnosed children. They have used statistics from the past years that have consisted of cases which have suddenly increased since 2014. The reporters use ethos by using words from the CDC and Health Department of Minnesota to support their story proving them to be credible authors. They use pathos by appealing emotions from the sickness of young children.

I think that this disease in very unfortunate and that it should concern not just parents, but doctors, that Acute Flaccid Myelitis, has been an increasing case in the recent years. There is no cure, so what can be done or researched to reduce this increasing and potentially contagious disease. It's scary for everyone.
