In this current event blog I will be talking about Fox News. It is a news source whose motto consist of they promising to be the most watched and the most honest but it talks about their most honest opinion. Meaning that it is a bias news source. It was founded by Rupert Murdoch in 1996 which is frankly recent. Interestingly enough Fox News was created as an alternative to CNN news.
I choose the article called "UFO spotted' over Myrtle Beach, disturbing onlookers". This article consisted of the description that there was a man that was recording a time lapse of a storm and spotted a UFO after watching it at home. The author of this article in my opinion used good supporting evidence when he mentioned that the video was updated to a space ship website but then quoting that it was a website specifically for those kind of occurrences.
This article finds many ways to hook on the reader and one of them is the way it organizes the information. The author does not give us the information right away he smoothly integrates it. He also makes the article quite credible because he mentioned all the credible sources like the website that specifies in information about space ships. The only evidence that I think weakens the article is the one where he mentions that when the article was posted. He points out that the article was recored on august but posted in September and that makes it kind of fishy and skeptical information for the reader almost making it sound like a rumor.
In my opinion, this article engages the reader and layouts the information in a perfect way. It does contain some weakening evidence but it still is interesting. I do not see in the video what may be a space ship therefore I do not agree with the central point of this article.
