  • The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is an independent agency of the United States Federal Government responsible for the space program, as well as aeronautics and aerospace research. Dwight D. Eisenhower established NASA in 1958 with a distinctly civilian, rather than military. Also, the National Aeronautics and Space Act was passed on July 29, 1958, renouncing NASA's predecessor, the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics. The new agency became operational on October 1, 1958. Since its establishment, most space exploration has led by NASA, including the Apollo landing missions, and more In 2018, NASA alongside with other companies including Sensor Coating Systems, Pratt & Whitney, Monitor Coating and UTRC have launched the project Caution (Coatings for Ultra High-Temperature detection). 
    • The difference between weather and climate is a measure of time. Weather is what conditions of the atmosphere are over a short period, and climate is how the atmosphere "behaves" over relatively long periods of time. When we talk about climate change, we talk about changes in long-term averages of daily weather if summers seem hotter lately, then the recent climate may have changed. In addition to long-term climate change, there are shorter term climate variations. Which related to El Niño, La Niña, volcanic eruptions, or other changes in the Earth system.
    • The article wants the viewer to understand the difference between climate and weather. It explains the reason why countries have different types of climate and how climate controls the weather. Besides, it talked about how the earth natural disaster contribute to our long-term climate and short-term such as volcanic eruption or continental drift and other changes that transform our atmosphere. 
    • In my opinion, this article talked about the weather and climate, and NASA is known for knowing what is happening in our atmosphere and the history of our planet and inform and educate the people. In my view, the article is embedded with facts to all aspects at all age. In addition in spreading a great detail between different climate and weather because most of us do not know the meaning.

    The article I choose was posted by NBC news which is directed by Noah Oppenheim. On the NBC news website their claim to their audience is that they intend to satisfy all audiences. Although, I believe that while reading their article they have a drive towards supporting environmental awareness. The tone in the article felt as if they were almost agreeing with the lawyers and other people behind the movement of wanting cigarette butts banned. In the article "Plastic Straw ban? Cigarette butts are the single greatest source of ocean trash" there is a great amount of information supporting the facts behind cigarettes being the greatest source of trash in the ocean.
