Assessment: Yahoo news is a website that started out as an internet-based new article by Yahoo mail. All the news reports they had originally came from different news sources like the Associated Press, Reuters, Fox News, Al Jazeera, ABC News, USA Today, CNN, BBC News, and etc. Before the news site became official they were letting it was there to people expand people's knowledge and helped them understand what was going on in the world. It also gave people the option to comment and give their own opinion after reading and listening to the news, which they soon stopped in 2006 (from Wiki).

Summary: Ronald Derisi went to jail friday because the threatened two US senators because they were supported Brett Kavanaugh. Ronald left about 10 repeated voicemails on both of their phones telling them not to support brett or he’s gonna “get them” and that he had a “gift” for them which was a 9mm gun! There were way more senators that voted for Kavanaugh but I guess he only picked certain people.

Analysis: The purpose of this news article is to inform everyone of the dangers of having your own opinion or own right. I’m not saying that having your own opinion isn’t right but some people just feel as though if you don’t believe what they believe then something has to be done about it to change their mind. It’s just in this case he decided to retaliate in an unprofessional manner. Be more aware of how people react. This article was basically warning other people that it could also happen to them because Ronald isn’t the only one to feel that way.

Opinion: Just because someone dislikes another person it doesn’t give them the right to threaten other people. Regardless of what the situation may be, everybody will never agree on the same thing. We won’t always like people or support people or things but we shouldn’t take it to the extreme of threatening someone's life. There are other ways he could’ve talked to them or tried to convince them not to vote for him instead of leaving those type of voicemails. Acting before you think will have bad consequences, that’s why it’s always good to think first and consider your outcomes.
