Assessment of news source: Cable News Network (CNN) is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and is a cable television news channel in the United States. Running 24 hours, CNN strives to present the finest possible hard-breaking, national, and international news products as they unfold. As a result of CNN’s funding through cable subscriptions and advertisements (in addition to being owned by Turner Broadcasting System), the news network is prominent for its left bias. The stories covered and their presentation often have a liberal political party bias, favoring these causes and omitting information that may damage them.
Summary: President Donald Trump of the United States and Bob Woodward continue to incite each other, this time as a result of Woodwards “Fear: Trump in the White House.” Trump made strong remarks against Woodward’s work on Tuesday (saying his reporting is fictional and full of lies), while Woodward remained unphased stating that he stands by his reporting. Though this is not the first time the two have butt heads, their saga is intensifying and gaining momentum as new information comes into the light.
Analysis: The liberal political party bias that CNN is notorious for is very prevalent in this article. Loaded words holding negative connotations are used to describe President Trump and his actions (such as attacking and unreliable), yet describes Woodward in positive ways (like remaining civil in disagreements-unlike the president). As a result of the news organization’s bias, it is pertinent that an individual who reads this article search for another article regarding this topic elsewhere in order to understand the full story. The reporting of this story is presented in a way that favors Woodward (and the liberal party), which can often mislead readers and falsify information. Due to this, further investigation is required.
Opinion: In my personal opinion, CNN is a news source that most definitely requires further research and investigation. The reporting coverage of CNN (specifically stories regarding politics in the United States) is often promoting liberal causes and demeaning towards conservative efforts (regardless of the true facts). I do not personally have anything against CNN, but I understand that I must read articles from other sources in addition to those provided by this organization in order to get the full story.

The article I choose was posted by NBC news which is directed by Noah Oppenheim. On the NBC news website their claim to their audience is that they intend to satisfy all audiences. Although, I believe that while reading their article they have a drive towards supporting environmental awareness. The tone in the article felt as if they were almost agreeing with the lawyers and other people behind the movement of wanting cigarette butts banned. In the article "Plastic Straw ban?
