Assesment of News Source
CNN is an american news-based channel owned by Turner Broadcasting System. CNN has been subject to many controversies but is a valuble source to go to for news source since they are consistent when gathering sources. CNN is biased more towards the Democratic party which leads to some news articles pertaining with politics are more on the side with Democrats.

Summary of article
A 19-year old teen from Indonesia had a job to light lamps on traps to attract fish in the sea, the way that he did this was by sitting on small huts that were tied by a rop to the bottom of the sea and watch over these traps. He was hired for six months to stay out there with someone checking up on him at the end of each week bringing him food, water, and other supplies. A strong storm made one of the ropes of the huts rip off which led to this teen to start floating away into the sea. He was stranded out in the sea for 49 days with 10 boats passing by him not noticing he was out there. He was finally saved and taken care of and restored back to his normal health, but it was a terrifying experience for the young man and something that he will remember for a long time.

Analysis
The point of this article was to allow the public to hear to story of this young life being lucky to be found alive after being stranded at sea for so long. The author of this article was not trying to persuade the audience of anything with this story, she was just reporting the miracle that happened in Indonesia. The author does a really good job with setting up the background of the story, explaining what his job was, what he was doing out there for so long, and what he was staying on throughout those six months that he was hired. She then does a great job of explaining how the young man felt and how it affected him.

Opinion
I think that it was a complete miracle that this young man got found out in the sea, ten other boats passed by him before he was even found. If I was in his position I would lose hop after the second boat passed. But after reading this article, it shows how the system of setting up these traps out in sea needs to change. I mean leaving someone out there for 6 month, only checking on them once every week is a horrible system. I personally do not think it is necessary for anyone to stay out there like that, instead allow the hired individual to have a boat of his own to sail to the location of the traps each day to check on them and set it up. This limits any problems such as getting lost at sea or running out of food and water. I think they should change their system to prevent something like this happening again.
