Trump Warns Google, Facebook, and Twitter
The New York Times is an American based newspaper known world wide. Founded in 1851, The company has won multiple awards, more than any other newspaper. The New York Times company has been owned by the Sulzberger family since 1896. The New York times is known as "the gray lady". The newspaper moto is "All the News That's fit to print", pretty much giving everyone an understanding that'll put only top stories that are worth reading. The article started because on tuesday morning trump twitted what seemed to be an attack against google blaming them of intentionally suppressing conservative news coming from his administration. He said that all the news that come from him or the white house is being Rigged by google and only putting fake news to make him look bad. He said that the internet industry is controlling what we can see to what they want us to see and he said this issue will be addressed. Trump mentioned that google, facebook and twitter have to be careful.
Basically Trump is tired and fed up that only bad news of him come out on social media or at least that's what it seems like. He is having the largest internet companies for a meeting next week at a senate intelligence hearing to make sure the internet giants like google, facebook and twitter wont interfere or influence in the elections. Because he thinks that's whats going to happen. Google mentioned that they work hard every year to improve and will never rank search results to manipulate political issues and that the presidents remarks were absurd. In this article conservatives feel that their voices are being silenced.
I personally think that the president shouldn't be getting too much involved in a war with social media because the more and more he tries to fight with them, the more social media will try to make him look bad. He should leave minor issues like that alone and worry more about important issues that will help the country so that all the US citizens can really see what he's doing and all the good he can do. To a point where the people wont pay too much attention to what social media has to say about him.
