college dropouts are increasing

This week I chose an article from Fox News. Just as any news source, Fox has its biases. Most people associate it with the strong conservative side of issues. It is arguably the biggest media corporation in the world. Fox will always side with whoever is offering the most money or the most resources over time. This article is actually in the opinions section of Fox's website to further emphasize the imperfections.
The article claims college dropouts are increasing each year. It begins by stating that this year there were an estimated 20 million new college students this year. It said that there were 31 million people that began working on a degree and never completed it. The article then goes on to state that affordability is the number one factor. They could not afford to continue attending. The second most noteworthy factor is that people with families and fulltime obligations can't make it. These people simply could not afford to be there. The article goes on about how nice it would be if everyone had unlimited time and resources and ends by promoting a new non-profit, tuition free school called the University of the People.
Those numbers sound very real to me. I don't believe it's false information and i believe it makes a good bit of sense. Sometimes it can be very difficult to even get to school. You also need the money. Even though i have a full scholarship with book stipends and housing allowance it's not always on time. It was two months late once. I can't buy books right now because it's currently late. I believe it is an important issue but what's the purpose of promoting something that's non-profit? Fox must still get their advertising money i suppose.
