Tiger Woods Current event #3

For this weeks news source i used CNN. CNN is known for very quick and up to date news. However some of their news about politics are swung to their bias and are sometimes not very legit. For that reason i decided to use their sports article they are always on point with sports because you cant hide that and what happens happens in sports there is no swaying that. CNN stands for Cable News Network is an American news-based pay television channel owned by Turner Broadcasting System, a division of AT&T's WarnerMedia. CNN was founded in 1980 by American media proprietor Ted Turner as a 24-hour cable news channel. 

 This article was about Tiger Woods great comeback to get his 80th win. He had struggled through a lot of adversity from being in the spotlight for wrong doings all the way to not even knowing if he would be able to swing a golf club or even walk in some cases because of a set back injury in the prime of his outstanding career. Critics called this win the most historic ever. The article shows video footage of thousands upon thousands of people converging with tiger as he went up to the last shot on the 18th hole. It shows just how much support Tiger still has and also he received a load of tweets from very famous people as well congradulating him on this huge accomplishment. 

 My analysis of this article was that is was well thought up and the title was perfect. However i dont think the content was all there and could have been done better. There were a lot of facts missing and many other topics with Tiger that were never mentioned about tiger and his past or tiger and his future with golf. I also felt like they should have talked more about the future of tiger and what he will do next and not just focused on the great things about Tiger but focused on some of his downfall and struggles on the road back to the top. I felt like this article wasnt biased and it said all the facts but i do feel like Tigers fame has some bumps along the way. The last thing i would say about this article is it uses too many tweets talking about Tiger and not enough research facts about Tiger or the event. Also it doesnt show the statistics either.

 My opinion of this article was that it was good but lacked in a lot of missed content. I think it should've talked more about the old trouble tiger had and what all he had to over come. It also showed all the good of tiger but nothing bad like his troubled past. I do believe it was his career defining moment because he had been close several times but had not been able to finish out and get a win. This tournament was like the old tiger though. He never gave up and landed his shots just the way he had to too make history with one of the best comebacks ever. The article also doesn't say how Tiger almost won the Fed ex cup as well because of the insane performance and some average/ under par performance of his opponent he almost gave up the points to Tiger who finished 2nd while just stating barley in the top 10.

The article I choose was posted by NBC news which is directed by Noah Oppenheim. On the NBC news website their claim to their audience is that they intend to satisfy all audiences. Although, I believe that while reading their article they have a drive towards supporting environmental awareness. The tone in the article felt as if they were almost agreeing with the lawyers and other people behind the movement of wanting cigarette butts banned. In the article "Plastic Straw ban? Cigarette butts are the single greatest source of ocean trash" there is a great amount of information supporting the facts behind cigarettes being the greatest source of trash in the ocean.
